NetNordic SHIELD is a security solution for remote access, which has been in development for over 11 years in close collaboration with the oil and gas industry. The system is specifically designed to help companies manage security issues related to working with process control systems, safety systems, and information and communication technology (ICT) systems. The solution also facilitates companies in moving away from manual and vulnerable processes.
The system automates workflows and enables tracking of all tasks performed on the ICT systems of one of Altera Infrastructure Production’s vessels. NetNordic SHIELD complies with cybersecurity guidelines: NOG088, NOG104, and IEC62443.

Bringing Access Control Closer to the Right Authority
Integration with Altera Infrastructure Production’s digital access system automates the process of obtaining approvals from the appropriate authority. It also provides qualified users with the correct access levels within a defined timeframe, enabling more remote work from land.
The access level is defined based on the work to be done and determined by a professional. The access control follows the risk level, and when access expires, it is automatically closed. This gives Altera Infrastructure Production full control over all
