Hotel Jacy’s is a newly opened hotel and landmark centrally located in Gothenburg. This unique destination and conference hotel is just a stone’s throw away from Nya Ullevi Stadium. With its 27 floors and unique design, this hotel stands out in Gothenburg’s cityscape. The hotel is heavily inspired by design from the Riviera. This 5-star hotel features a spa and wellness area, several swimming pools, a gym, as well as multiple bars and dining options. In addition to Hotel Jacy’s, ESS Group AB (the owner of the hotel) also has its headquarters in the same building. The Swedish Ess Group is a recognized player in the hotel and restaurant industry in the Nordic region.

The Challenge

The Challenge for Jacy’s Hotel & Resort

During the development of Jacy’s Hotel & Resort, Ess Group was focused on ensuring that guests would have the best possible experience of both the hotel and the digital guest journey. At the same time, it was crucial that employees had access to technology and services that allowed them to perform their work as quickly, efficiently, and guest-friendly as possible.

It was therefore important for Ess Group to find a partner who understood the industry. The supplier also needed to have the necessary technical expertise to ensure full trust. A trust in the deliveries of technology to the hotel, ensuring that all dimensions were taken care of. Additionally, the hotel wanted all services to be cloud-based, as they did not want any responsibility for operations, maintenance, or upgrades.

The Solution

The Solution for Jacy’s Hotel & Resort

NetNordic was chosen as the total supplier for Hotel Jacy’s. All solutions were delivered as cloud-based services over the same platform. Through this cloud platform, the hotel has been provided with WIFI, Networking, Digital Signage, IPTV, and technology for conference rooms and co-working areas. As part of the IPTV delivery, a cloud-based IPTV headend is included, which distributes TV channels to all rooms in the hotel. With integrated Chromecast in the SMART TVs, guests can stream their own content to the TV screens in their rooms. Selected guest rooms are also set up as “gaming rooms” with both PlayStation 5 and soundbars for an optimal gaming experience.

Since the hotel offers both conference facilities and co-working areas, it was important that both wireless and wired networks had particularly good coverage, capacity, and speed. The solution was a network based on leading technology with top-class capacity.

The delivered platform provides Hotel Jacy’s with a predictable cost structure and minimal technical installations at the hotel. The hotel has no responsibility for the operation, maintenance, or upgrades of the delivered technology.
