The French Riviera came to Moss in the spring of 2023.
The hotel operator Norwegian Hospitality Group AS (NHG) brought the French Riviera to Moss when they opened the doors to the magnificent Hotel Riviera in May 2023. The hotel is located by the waterfront in the old industrial area of Verket. NHG has set the bar very high for this hotel, where guests are meant to feel as if they are on the Riviera in France from the moment they step through the door until they leave the hotel.
With its 172 inviting guest rooms, spa, and rooftop pool areas, this is a completely unique destination in the Moss region. There is also a beautiful promenade and access to the beach from the hotel.
NHG is characterized by owning and operating unique hotels in Norway and Sweden. Among its portfolio are the historic Dalen Hotel, as well as the spa hotels Son Spa and Strömstad Spa. This hotel operator aims to offer its guests and visitors unique and memorable experiences. Therefore, they also set high standards for their suppliers.
Clear lines to the French Riviera
Hotel Riviera is a new building where the focus is on optimizing the guest experience. This focus has been valid right from the first sod to the opening of the hotel. Nothing has therefore been spared to ensure that the clear lines of the French Riviera are fully maintained. It is also important that the technology ensures that the digital guest experience meets expectations.
NetNordic was chosen at an early stage as the main supplier of technology to Hotel Riviera. We have been an active party in the development of the hotel since it was at the drawing stage. Among other things, NetNordic has assisted with radio planning for wireless networks and documentation for cabling work.
For NHG, it has been important that the guests have a good experience of both the hotel and the digital guest journey. It is also of great importance that employees have access to technology and services that enable them to carry out their work as quickly, efficiently and guest-friendly as possible. NHG has worked together with NetNordic on previous projects. It was previous cooperation that made them feel confident that this focus would be taken care of from the supplier side. This was the reason why NetNordic was chosen as a partner also in connection with Hotel Riviera. There was also a wish that all services provided to the hotel were cloud-based. This is completely in line with NetNordic’s technological vision for the industry.
NetNordic was chosen as the total supplier for Hotel Riviera
All solutions are delivered as cloud-based services on the same platform. Through this cloud platform, the hotel has received radiocommunication, WIFI, networking, digital signage, IPTV, and technology for conference rooms. As part of the IPTV delivery, a cloud-based IPTV headend is also included, which distributes TV channels to all rooms in the hotel. SMART TVs with integrated Chromecast have also been installed, allowing guests to stream their own content to the TV screen in their rooms.
The delivered platform ensures that Hotel Riviera has a predictable cost structure and minimal technical installations at the hotel. They have no responsibility for operation, maintenance, or upgrades of the technology. NHG achieves scalability, as it will be easy in the future to “onboard” other hotels in their portfolio onto the same service platform.

Functions well from day one
Hotel Riviera is the latest addition of unique destination hotels in NHG’s portfolio. It was crucial for NHG that the hotel could open on time. At the same time, it is important that it functions well from day one for both guests and staff. A strategic partner was required for the delivery of technology that is both predictable and flexible. Additionally, there is a strong focus on delivery quality. After a comprehensive evaluation, NetNordic was awarded the contract for the technology delivery to the hotel.
The hotel is ready to provide its guests with memorable experiences in May 2023. Guests will experience a unique hotel from day one, where even the smallest details have been considered and taken care of.
