NetNordic delivers access networks to Skatteetaten
Skatteetaten has over 7,000 employees working on the societal mission of securing a financial foundation for public operations. Over time, the Tax Administration’s network had grown organically, leading to a solution that no longer met today’s standards for collaboration and mobility.
Skatteetaten needed to modernize its network to ensure better coverage and enable advanced collaboration tools, including real-time video communication across all 57 of its office
Pilot project
To ensure the best possible outcome, NetNordic developed a pilot project. In the project, it was essential to consider which stakeholders were affected and who needed to be taken into account. Good communication through both physical and digital meetings with all relevant divisions and users was crucial for creating a technical solution that the agency would be satisfied with.
After the solution design and pilot were approved, it was time to implement the new network. In connection with the handover, the Tax Administration’s operational staff were also trained to use the system effectively.
The Delivery
- Service manual with contact points, operational routines, and SLA commitments.
- New setup and routines for invoicing.
- ITSM integration.
- Standard courses and other training for staff.
- Operational assistance.
After working on this project for 2 years, the Tax Administration’s new access network is now up and running. The project manager at NetNordic, Vidar Bjerkenes, has the following to say about the project:
“In collaboration with such an important and complex entity as the Tax Administration, collaboration is crucial. NetNordic are experts in technology, but the Tax Administration knows its needs best.”
It is at the intersection of understanding needs and technical expertise that the best solutions are created, and we have achieved that in this project.
